Narciso Rodriguez for Him Narciso Rodriguez for men

Narciso Rodriguez for Him Narciso Rodriguez for men

The male fragrance from Narciso Rodriguez and Beauté Prestige International:Narciso Rodriguez for Him, joined the first fragrance of the designer Narciso Rodriguez for Her. The creator is Francis Kurkdjian from Takasago, who made the female version together with Christian Nagel. This perfume was inspired by “the great masculine fougere fragrances from 1980’s” and includes: musk, amber, violet leaf and patchouli. It was launched in 2007.

Main Accords: patchouli, ozonic, musky, amber and aquatic.

Personal review: NR For Him is a powerful fragrance in that it can inspire feelings and emotions in the wearer. It is clear that some people interpret a dark, gothic side to the fragrance and that it should be worn with black clothing on grey, cloudy days for example. I personally would not chose to wear this on such a day or with such a dress code. I would wear it with a sharp blue or beige suit and a fresh white shirt on a crisp sunny morning/afternoon, and the effect for me is much different, bright, inspiring and magnificent and in no way melancholy, dark or gothic. I wouldn't wear it to sit indoors all day either, e.g. in an office, rather to be strolling or sitting out in the fresh Spring/Autumn air. When I wear this I want to see bright blue skies and feel slightly cool but comfortable temperatures. For Him is unique, distinctive and beautiful. Classic yet modern. It has a beautiful violet-amber blend, which with its ozonic dimension makes me recall how the city air smells in Europe after a rain shower has passed. It has a very niche/classy feel to it, but like a painting it can divide opinion and stir varied emotions. Without any doubt it is a powerful and beautiful piece of art to behold, and to be treated with respect. Masterpiece.
