Hi Makeup lovers, it’s time for another review! As part of their spring collection Urban Decay released the Naked Ultra Nourishing Lip glosses. This will be a permanent addition to their line-up since they debuted their Lip Junkie in 2010. These are packed with ingredients that are good for your lips and leave them feeling hydrated, healthy, and nourished.
Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss 01
PACKAGING
Urban Decay has some of the best packaging and products on the market. These glosses come in a rose gold/champagne colored tube with “NAKED” embossed on the front. I love that the packaging is clear at the bottom so the tube, so the shade is clearly visible.  These glosses have a “flocked paddle” wand, which is a cross between a doe-foot wand and a brush that allows you to control exactly how much gloss is applied. This may just be my favorite applicator to date!

PRODUCT
The Urban Decay Naked lip glosses are very sheer and don’t have an intense color pay off which makes them ideal to use over a lipstick, or alone for a soft wash of color. These lip glosses are very hydrating, creamy, and light weight, as they have an ever so light sweet mint scent. Packed with hyaluronic filling spheres, these lip glosses help to blur the look of fine lines and fill in any imperfections. With the added benefits of vitamin e, avocado oil, rosehip seed oil, and shea butter, your lips will feel healthy and hydrated. As much as I like the nourishing aspects of these glosses, once applied they are so sheer that a few of the shades appeared identical. The biggest noticeable difference was between the shimmer and gloss finishes; for this reason you won’t need to buy every gloss available in this collection. The overall wear time was around 3 hours with needing to re-apply after eating and drinking.
Shades:
  • Beso – Pink/Mauve/Plum with a neutral tones and a creamy finish.
  • Freestyle – Warm peachy/brown with a slight shimmer that fades on application.
  • Liar – Warm soft pink with a creamy finish.
  • Lovechild – Medium pink with a slight blue undertone and cream finish. One of my 3 favorites.
  • Naked – Definite warm toned medium tan shade with pink and white micro-glitter that creates a soft pink shift. Another one of my 3 favorites.
  • Nooner – Warm light muted coral with a very slight shimmer in the sun.
  • Streak – Warm medium peach/coral with a creamy finish and my absolute favorite!
  • Rule34 – The name definitely gets your attention! It’s a nude brown with a hint of deep pink/rose. Not to dark and very wearable.
  • Walk of Shame – Pale nude with shimmer. The only real difference I could see with this was the shimmer.

Where to Buy: (Sephora), (Ulta), (Urban Decay)
My favorite glosses from the collection are “Lovechild”, “Naked” and “Streak”.  The gloss with the most pigmentation and color payoff is “Beso”.  Urban Decay did a great job with these glosses, with their hydrating and nourishing properties these will not only make you look great, but soften and hydrate your lips as well. I highly recommend trying these glosses for Spring and Summer.
